While grilling corn would be worth a lot of additional effort simply for the delicious taste, in reality grilling corn does not require a lot of work. The first task you’ll need to take care in order to get started grilling corn is to choose the perfect ears of corn. If you can find some ears of corn fresh from the garden, these are perfect for grilling corn. The fresher the better is definitely the motto when it comes to grilling corn.

If garden fresh isn’t available, the ears of corn that are available in the produce section of your supermarket should work fine for grilling corn. The one kind of corn that you don’t want to use when grilling corn is any kind that has already been shucked and you especially should not use frozen varieties.

After you have chose your ears of corn, your next step in grilling corn is to remove the silk from the ears. This is the fine ‘silky’ threads that is inside the husk. Keep in mind, that you should not remove the husks. This is very important. Instead, pull them down gently and remove the silk.

After the silk has been removed, you should then coat your ears of corn with plenty of softened butter for the next to last step in grilling corn. Once this is complete, the husks should be gathered back around the corn to seal in the butter.
